Marshmallow Fondant/Paste


Marshmallow Fondant/Paste (used instead of flower paste to make the butterflies biscuits).

Put 200g marshmallows in a bowl with 2tbsp water
Microwave for 1min
Stir well until smooth (you can add a colour if you want to at this point)
Add 400g icing sugar and mix until you can no longer mix
Sprinkle icing sugar on your work surface and turn the mix out. Knead until it is no longer sticky.
It is then ready to roll out/use.


Note from reader: butterflies set really hard, but only used them to decorate an iced cake so not sure if they would soften if left sitting in buttercream icing (such as on the cupcakes) for a while.
